Karuna Reiki

Karuna Reiki can be learned by any one who is already practicing Usui Reiki. There are 3 levels in Karuna Reiki.

Karuna Reiki level 1

This level is given to those who are already practicing with second level of Usui Reiki. In this level attunement is given to activate first four symbols of Karuna Reiki. This level is done in 1 days workshop.

Karuna Reiki level 2

This is level is given to those who are practicing with the third level of Usui Reiki or some call it 3 A. In this level attunement is given to activate next set of four symbols. This level is done in 1 days workshop.

Karuna Reiki level 3 or Master level

This level is taught to those who are experienced Reiki Master or 4th level or as some call it 3 B. If a person wants to do Karuna Reiki Masters, it is not necessary for them to do 1 and 2 level of Karuna Reiki, they can directly go for Karuna Reiki Master level. But if they want to go through all the levels before Master level, it is fine. In this level attunement is given to activate four Master symbols. This level is done in 1 days workshop.

Learn Reiki II Degree with Grandmaster Babin Gautam(Bal mukunda)

Reiki II Degree

The Second Degree requires that the student has completed the First Degree and has had sufficient practice for the energy to be flowing with less variation in intensity. Usually at least three months will have passed since the student took the First Degree. In the second degree Reiki initiation, the central channel is opened up to a greater level, and the amount of energy that can be channelled increases.

The student receives three symbols:

The Power Symbol. This increases the amount of energy that can be channelled. It enables the student to open and close the energy connection when treating himself or others. It allows the student to use the Universal energy to cleanse and purify places energetically. The power symbol can also be used as a protection around a home, car etc

The Mental Symbol. This allows the student to enter into a different level of energy, which works on the mental and emotional levels of the person receiving the energy. It is therefore used for mental and emotional healing. It is particularly helpful in dealing with anger, sadness, anxiety, depression and problems with relationshipsand when sending Reiki to the cause of a condition. . It can also be used to help stop unwanted habits such as smoking.

The Distance Symbol. This allows healing to be sent at a distance. The recipient does not have to be physically present, but could be anywhere in the world. This symbol can also be used to send Reiki into the future. If the student wants to send Reiki to something he plans to do, he simply asks the energy to arrive at a particular time, and it will be ready when that time comes. This also works for the past. Reiki can be sent to specific events in the past, or to the cause of a problem, even if the cause is unknown.

If the students practice in insufficient the teacher may ask the student to practice self healing for few more days before accepting his/her request to teach Reiki second degree. Reiki 2nd degree course can be taken anytime after your 21 day practice of Reiki first degree.

The first degree opens the energy channel and permits the student to channel Reiki mainly at the physical level, both for himself and for others. It consists of one initiation in the Usui Tibetan system. After the initiation, the student may note a subtle energy flowing through his hands. This can be perceived in various ways, including heat, coolness, tickling, buzzing, or just a strange feeling in the hands. Sometimes it takes a period of time after the initiation before the student feels the energy. This level is open to anyone. No previous experience or preparation is required. It is usually taught in one weekend. The initiation connects the student’s energy system to the Universal Energy. Energy blockages are released, balancing and harmonising the major energy centres known as chakras. The initiation opens the central energy channel leading from the crown of the head to the bottom of the spine. It connects the student to the Universal Energy permanently, allowing him to channel the energy whenever he wishes. At first, the amount of energy channelled after the initiation can vary considerably, but the more the student uses Reiki, the more constant the energy becomes. In this level, the energy is 80-90% on the physical level. The remainder being on the mental/emotional and spiritual levels.

Reiki

Reiki is an alternate healing system which works not only on physical level, but also on mental, emotional and spiritual levels. Rei means universal and Ki means life force energy. Same energy is called as Prana in India, Chi in China and Ki in Japan. The Prana energy which is regulated in „Prananama‟ through breathing technique is the same energy which is regulated through hands in Reiki. The healing technique was originated in India by Lord Buddha in the form of various sutras. He was seen performing various types of healings on various occasions. But after Buddha it was forgotten for thousands of years until Dr. Makao Usui from Japan re-discovered it in the end of 19th century. He responded to a challenge from his university students by undertaking an extensive study of the healing phenomena of history‟s greatest spiritual leaders. Through travel, study, research and meditation, he evolved a healing system based on ancient Buddhist teachings written in Sanskrit. He spent the rest of his life practicing and teaching this method of natural healing, which involved attunement to the energy, and the laying on of hands.

Reiki Principles

There are five Reiki Principles which are to be practiced daily like a prayer in the morning. They are as follows:-

• Just for today I will be humble to every fellow human being, animals and plants.
• Just for today I will do my work honestly
• Just for today I will thank for every small blessings in my life and be in attitude of gratitude throughout day

HOW DOES REIKI WORK?

Here is an extract from the manual (of Usui Reiki Ryoho Gakkai), that Mikao Usui founder) gave his students:
"…I've never been given this method by anybody nor studied to get psychic power to heal. I accidentally realized that I have received healing power when I felt the air in mysterious ways during fasting. So I have a hard time explaining exactly what it is even though I am the founder. Scholars and men of intelligence have been studying this phenomenon but modern science cannot solve it. But I believe that day will come naturally…".
And the day has come. Quantum Physics says that everything in this world whether living or non-living, is made up of atom. If we break any substance whether a stone or a small fragrant of skin of human being into a very finite state which can only be seen by a strong microscope then we will find atom. If we further break down atom then we get electron, proton and neutron and if we further break them down what we get is only energy. That is true for anything that exists in this universe. Therefore, according to Quantum Physics everything is made of energy and also there is a source energy exists which they term as universe. As Reiki is an universal life force energy which gives life to every living beings, it communicates with the energy of others in a subtle but divine way. Reiki is the energy which enters our body through our crown chakra, flows throughout our body through „nadis‟ and leaves the body through soles of the feet. This is a continuous supply of energy which we receive from the universe.
